bp56... Not sure what you are getting at by bringing the USA Modifieds into this subject but they are the farthest thing from Run What Ya Brung. Now if you are heading towards the fact that most tracks (many of them with very good modified counts) are running the United Modified Rules package then I would agree with you. Example... USA Modifieds invade Kalamazoo Speedway and have over 40 of the best modifieds in the area. Maybe you don't want to see that many modifieds running at one track?? Anytime the USA Series heads into a track there is always some regulars that compete with minor changes if any..... to me that sure seems like a standard set of rules!

Actually Wes i wanted to see if anyone would respond to the statement!!! Thanks for doing so. The reason i said it is because that usa is a awesome series, which i love to watch, but i feel that most promotors are bring in to many traveling series and not letting the local drivers have a shot at some $$ because most of it goes to traveling series. I know just about everyone runs usa rules so local mod drivers can race with the series, but local street stocks, unless you change a whole bunch of pieces on your car, you will not be very competitive with cra streets!! I am just speaking my opinion, Thanks you so much Wes for letting me be able to!!!!

Whew... I was hoping it was like that. I don't think you can get much more united than the USA Modified Series style rules.

So does anyone actually think that the rules for any track will change in 2010??? Or is it going to be just the normal bs, i don't want radical change, just something different. It would be nice if a promotor or track office would say something online LOL!!!!

"SOMETHING"

There is NO WAY IN HELL any promoter will be dragged into an ONLINE debate over rules. HA!

If you're looking for that...as my daddy used to say..."You can WISH in one hand and **** in the other and see which fills up first!" HA!

If AMS stays on a part-time schedule and guys are looking to run weekly, BFS would be willing to listen to any suggestions for rule changes that would allow AMS cars to compete (and be competitive) without causing a huge financial burden on the cars we currently have.

There are some areas where our rulebook could be "modernized" and perhaps now is the time to make a few changes.

You can email any suggestions through the track webiste http://www.baerfieldspeedway.net as this will be the ONLY comment made by me in this thread...as it's not the BFS section.

Since Modifieds were mentioned...I like Brent Martin's car...not the current "Late Model-fieds" guys are running. If you want a damn SLM...BUILD ONE!

Guess this means I'm out of the running for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize...although...I just heard Obama was nominated for the Heisman Trophy!

Nah, I was just cranky...lack of sleep...or...lack of sleeping partner...one of those.

Actually, I thought this thread was in the Angola section, not General Discussion, HA! I leaned a lesson from experience long ago...getting in a rules debate online is about as smart as trying to run a $20,000 show on a Monday morning.

And...I'm sorry...I LOVE the Modifieds, hell I put together some big shows for them when I was in Kalamazoo...I just don't like the new bodies. Late Models have gone "Stock Appearing" while Mods go to shovel noses and roofs doubling as one big wing...huh!?!

Oh...and I hate all that extra sheetmetal around the drivers compartment on Sprints too! Can't see the driver anymore. Ok...when did I become my dad? Wait...I'll be right back...someone left a light on in a room that no one is using...
