Just asking, with the street stock mishap this year at Angola and Baerfield drawing 18-12 cars a night is it time to change up the rules? I would like to see rules go back to the tracks being the same, And running on a street tire, not made for racing one!!!! Have tracks and promotors gotten desprite enough to finally listen to the racers and fans, Or are they still going to wonder why seats are empty and car counts are dismal!!! Just asking my two cents lol.

I would like to see the street stocks run with cast iron intake, two barrol carb 4412, and cast iron exoust the tire rule is a safty thing keep them on a racing tire. I like used racing tires they are cheeper than a street tire. If you would cut the amount of air in and out it wauld make the field alot closer the big motors don't matter. My thoughts.

I'm not a racer but I've asked a couple of guys and they both said to stay with the racing tire for the safety factor. Nows the time to get working on the rules, actually this summer would have been a better time to get started on the rules. But maybe things weren't so clear as to what the plan was on the track being open in 2010 at that time.

I agree with you both maybe tire would be safety issue. Bob i agree with you, that seems like a logical idea to keep cost and "big" engines competetive. I also like the idea of no spoilers, and steel bodies. I do like cra street stocks, however they are more cra pro-stocks than street!! I heard alot of people think that making the rules uniformed and scaled back might boost up car counts, but it still is up the rule makers on that front. I hope everyone racer, fan,or track office voices their opinion. We all want the same thing. Just my 2 cents!!!!

They need to be done before the racers swap meets start. Not everyone can afford brand new parts.

I was talking to a person last night and found out that the CRA will be racing at Angola 5 times next year. They were at Winchester last weekend and heard it from the CRA officals. I also heard that Scott Hantz is going to run the track next year. The only thing about that is he going to race next year in the super series. The CRA cars are more like late model sportsmans. I don't have a problem with the rules for a street stock class but could all of the tracks get together and set there rules up the same or even close to the same. They could use the CRA rules just cut the carbs 4412 cast iron intakes and cast exoust. They could use the same tire that the CRA runs on. This would take the street stocks off of the 9 inch tire that we have been running. I believe that this would make better racing for the fans. I know that I am new to the street stocks and I did not run this year but the car is done. I have always been an out spoken person but how do you know how a person feels unless you talk about it. I just wish all of the other drivers would put there two cents into this posting. Thanks for your time guys.

The problem with that is cra ss they are way out in left field, sure you will get a car count, but for only five races!!! I like cra ss but the rules are way to open, for someone who had a old angola or baerfield ss, they would be running for last. This is not a exagerration, if you want a car count stop the politics all around and make uniformed rules. The idea of the biggest engine wins sucks!!! I know it sounds bad, but the best racing in ss is when the rules make the best driver win, not the best funded!! I really want everyone to speak their mind, it is the only way to help racers, fans and officals come up with best way to govern the class, just my 2 cents!!!

You hit that right on the nail, Stop The Politics. We want more people to speak their minds as well. And it can be done in a civil manner. We all know that Craig watches this site,so let him know your thoughts.
