I'm with Bob on this, you show up at the track for practice to practice and get faster, and to work on the setup. If your fast enough to show up late and race and still win, then your doin the job well. I want to get there for practice to practice and work on my setup. I dont show up early to make everyone happy. There isn't any fans til 7 anyways so I dont see the big deal.

This is a tough one.... On one hand does a Track Promoter support those who have supported him all season long and somehow penalize someone that shows up after the heats? On the other does the Track take the money (which is needed to run) and allow someone to come in and help make the field larger? This is a prime case of Damned if you do and Damned if you don't! Both sides are correct, however it does not give anyone the right to bash another driver for doing what they enjoy! I would look at it this way.... If the person making the decision is looking at it from the side of supporting those who support you them you need to make your decision based on that. If that person is looking at the fact of trying to run a very expensive facility and pay the bills then you make the decision going that way.

Bob -- I would have to say - Chill Out Big Guy! Not everyone has the excitement, time or money to be that involved. When I raced RC Cars I spent alot of money but never really gained the experience no matter what I did. I won a race or two but it was pure luck. I quickly sold everything that I had just because it was not fun anymore... It became a chore every week and that is not what I wanted to do. If I wanted a chore, I would stay home and finish the Honey Do List. NOT!

All I can say is that Racing has to be FUN in order for everyone to enjoy it.... without the FUN many end up hanging up their helmets. Lets work together and don't bash others for not following the same guidelines as you.

Thanks for your view wes, i know u have played the role of promoter and know that side alot better than most of us. I understood Craigs decision. I stated my view and went on. To me the biggest question I had was what time would they assume for the feature? i still never have got an answer on that one wether the assume fast time or they dont have a time.. But thanks anyways. I look forward to next yr to have even more fun with 2 cars on the track. It may take us time but we will get there, as in to be a contender and hopefully the team to beat. But thats all in due time.

Anyone that shows up after qualifying should start at the back of the field. If it was a full invert the fast qualifier should still start in front of the late comer. Usually if you start behind the invert you are exempt from the sandbag rule. I hope this helps the time question.

Experience comes with time.........
